SPEAKER: Will Baker, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and Taylor McKinley, Center for Neighborhood Technology


Although many people have heard about “green jobs,” what is the real outlook for jobs in the energy efficiency and transportation sectors in Illinois? Participants will learn about these growing fields and where to look for opportunities as well as the long-term employment outlook and available training opportunities. Will Baker with the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance will focus on careers such as building operators, HVAC professionals, and whole-home contractors. Taylor McKinley with the Center for Neighborhood Technology will explore urban planning principles to highlight emerging jobs focused on ‘greener’ transportation modes.
